US TV star Claire Danes, who plays the protagonist - CIA officer Carrie Mathison - in the massively popular series Homeland just confirmed that the show will wrap with the next season, reports news agency ANI. Danes said: "You just feel frightful".
Although she feels "ready" to leave, she is "really conflicted" about her departure. "She's a lot, this Carrie-freakin" Mathison character.
"So I was pregnant when I did that sex scene", Danes told Stern following her announcement.

In constrat to Danes's statements of the show ending, a representative for Showtime said, "The network has not made a decision beyond season eight", according to The Wrap.
She explained: "I mean, I'll be ready". "I face-planted onto this crocheted bag in-between takes", she recalled.
"It was intense!" she continued.
"I'll be ready", Danes said, asked about her thoughts on the series' impending end.
