Real Madrid continue to be linked with Neymar, with coach Zinedine Zidane admitting just yesterday that he could fit the Brazilian in the same team as Gareth Bale.

"He is a great player, one of the top three in the world".

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Brazilian football legend Ronaldo advised his former club Real Madrid to sign his fellow countryman Neymar who now plays for French club Paris-Saint-Germain.

PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi visited the 26-year-old at his luxury home in Brazil earlier this week as the player recovers from surgery ahead of this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.

He also advised the media to ask Real Madrid Florentino Perez about any purported move, a recurring theme yesterday: "He is happy there. Everybody knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point." .

RTE football pundit Eamon Dunphy has cited Neymar's apparent partying with supermodels in Ibiza for PSG's lack of success this season. I hope he comes this season.

He says you have to stay calm, If you ask me what the club [Real Madrid] is like, I'd say it is the biggest in the world, the best, but I'm not going to speak for him.

Varane was more coy on the subject, but also said that he would welcome the Brazilian.

Real Madrid have frequently been mentioned as reportedly interested in signing Neymar and sealing a return to Spain, where he made a name for himself with Barcelona.

Messi is said to have tried to convince Neymar that a return to Catalonia would be better than joining their bitter rivals, but that having failed to tempt him to take that path a "very angry" Messi has allegedly told his former team-mate not to use Barcelona's interest as a bargaining chip.
