Oscars Best Picture Mistake in 2017 - What Went Wrong, What Happened Next?

Among the other Academy Awards recipients scheduled to appear are two other Best Actress champs (Sandra Bullock and NIcole Kidman), three Supporting Actress winners (Rita Moreno, Lupita Nyong'o and Eva Marie Saint), Best Actor Matthew McConaughey and Supporting Actor Christopher Walken.

Moonlight director Barry Jenkins then said that a do-over would not be the same and that he would not have the chance to enjoy the moment.

So this year the Academy took some not-so-minor and obviously very important steps to make sure such a fiasco didn't happen again.

With new practices in place, it was hard for the Oscars to repeat last year?s best picture snafu - when "La La Land" was incorrectly announced as the victor.

La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz said: "There's a mistake".

And Beatty/ Dunaway's return isn't the only presenter shake-up this year, with an old tradition - whoever won Best Actor the previous year presenting Best Actress - falling by the wayside after last year's male victor Casey Affleck declined to take part in the ceremony. I'm afraid they read the wrong thing.

In 2017, viewers were left horrified after La La Land was wrongly named as Best Picture, over Moonlight.

He also joked that the incident was "waterhouse under the bridge", in reference to the PricewaterhouseCooper accountants who were responsible for the envelope mix-up.

The firm is responsible for the balloting process of the Oscars prizes and is one of the largest professional services firms in the world and a leading auditor.

It turned out that they were handed the wrong envelope before walking on the stage.

How are the Oscars preventing another "Moonlight" debacle this year? So, there was nearly a stigma that I felt.

The Oscars kept the drama in the movies this year.
