Let's take a closer look. The below Pumpkin Peasant will switch from 2 attack and 4 health to stats of 4/2. As of a few moments ago, we now know what the mysterious expansion signaling this shift turned out to be: The Witchwood. This represents a different type of shifting, though, because it occurs in a predictable pattern. Factors that could cause Blizzard Entertainment's actual future results to differ materially from those expressed in the forward-looking statements set forth in this release include unanticipated product delays and other factors identified in the risk factors sections of Activision Blizzard's most recent annual report on Form 10-K and any subsequent quarterly reports on Form 10-Q. New expansions drive sales of cards. Cards with Echo can be played over and over again, allowing players to call upon a minion or cast a spell multiple times in a turn as long as they have enough mana. Any stronger and the keywords would be too strong, much like how Charge can be. It's not the most exciting inclusion, so the introduction of a keyword is really the more interesting element here.

As you can see in the trailer above, this new expansion will come with a bunch of new cards to play with - 135 in all. Monster Hunt gives players one of four unique heroes, each with special hero powers. It was possible to cheat around the Battlecry though, so devoting a new keyword should avoid that problem altogether.

Here's a preview of seven new cards coming to the expansion.

Deceptively simple in design but epically engaging, Hearthstone will be instantly accessible to players regardless of their familiarity with Warcraft or collectible card games.

Other cards introduce effects at the start of the game.

Hearthstone is the leader in the digital card game market. With the ability to use both together, players have put together combo decks like Shadowreaper Priest that were too powerful and subsequently needed to be nerfed. Azalina Soulthief will replace your hand with an exact copy of your opponent's, which should lead to some interesting strategic back-and forth; there's also Genn Greymane, a neutral minion who will reduce your starting Hero Power cost to just 1 if your deck has only even-cost cards at the beginning of the match, and Baku the Mooneater, who will upgrade your Hero Power if your deck contains only odd-cost cards.

As the Blizzards team has promised the games will launch very soon.
