Newport County vs Tottenham Hotspur: FA Cup fourth round

Newport sprung a shock in the third round when they dumped Championship side Leeds United out of the FA Cup and are eyeing an even bigger upset, again on home turf, tonight.

The North Londoners made it to this stage of the competition, after beating AFC Wimbledon 3-0 at the Wembley Stadium.

They remain unbeaten in their last six matches and that form has pushed Michael Flynn's troops into eighth in the League Two table.

The last time Tottenham lost to fourth-tier opposition was when they faced Russell Slade's Grimsby Town in September 2005.

Tottenham could be without Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen as well as Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier.

Fernando Llorente and Harry Kane are up top for Spurs.

Victor Wanyama, who did not feature in the weekend game, should start in the middle of the park, alongside Eric Dier to provide a solid platform for the attack-minded players to build upon.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Newport County in the FA Cup this evening.

Tottenham have won by at least three clear goals in four of their last five victories and the 11/10 (2.10) quote for Spurs (-2) in the handicap market could well represent good value.

"We are in that process that one training session is important, one game against Real Madrid or Manchester United".

The London Evening Standard claim on their website that the Belgian worldwide will not play any part in Spurs' FA Cup tie against the League Two side with manager Mauricio Pochettino choosing not to risk him after his long term absence through injury.
