Soulcalibur VI marks a new era of the historic franchise and its legendary struggle between the mighty Soul Swords!

During the live programming form PlayStation Experience, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bandai Namco presented about ten minutes of gameplay of SoulCalibur VI. There are also a handful of spinoffs, including a free-to-play version of SoulCalibur V on the PlayStation Network, and a game designed specifically for Apple's iOS platform. During the battle the two weapons the characters wielded glowed different colors, indicating there will be some additional mechanic added to the traditional weapon-oriented battles. The latter is a new gameplay system called Reversal Edge where "characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent's actions". Mitsurugi and Sophitia are regulars in the series, but now we don't know enough about the game to list the other members on the roster. As it was announced by Bandai Namco "Classic characters like Mitsurugi and Sophitia are rendered at a level never before seen in the series".
