Arsenal will be hopping to get their own pound of flesh against Liverpool as the busy festive period of premier league action gets underway at The Emirates this Friday night.

Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since his move in the close season and impressed the manager in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend.

The result means Liverpool remain fourth in the Premier League table in the race for the Champions League spots and Arsenal are a point behind them in fifth. "Arsenal were not in the game apart from 10 minutes".

Despite that setback, Klopp could still call on his "fab four" of Coutinho, Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Liverpool's unnecessary charity in the first half offered Arsene Wenger's side respite they hadn't deserved.

- Coutinho header opens the scoring in the 26th minute.

Salah's air-kick wasted another Liverpool opportunity and it was no surprise to hear Arsenal booed off at the interval.

That Klopp's charges presented Arsenal with that possibility was unacceptable.

- Salah claims goal No.21 of campaign just after half-time. The point is the minimum we deserve.

Joe Gomez switched off at the back post, allowing Alexis Sanchez to head in.

It was the spark that Arsenal needed and they were level three minutes later thanks to a Simon Mignolet howler. "We have to take the good things and work on the lesser good things", the Liverpool boss added. There were mistakes but the tempo it was played at, the boys are still trying to get breath back.

The drama wasn't over and Liverpool recovered their composure to equalise in the 71st minute.

- Firmino ties the score, as Cech fails to keep out his drive.
