The announcement echoes the release of Nintendo's own SNES Classic Edition, which included the surprise release of the previously cancelled SNES title Star Fox 2.

SNES-styled 3DS XL console will come to the United States as well, and not just Europe as reported earlier.

European users have the slick gray 3DS XL and Japan has the original Famicom theme color. The system comes with a full game download for Super Mario Kart - one of the games loaded onto the SNES Classic - which older-model 3DS systems are unable to play. If, like most people, you still have a whole stack of Super Nintendo games lying around, the good news is that the Super Nt will let you enjoy them all on your flat screen HD television, making staying indoors even more fun. The power and reset buttons are purple, just like the controller.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL plays all Nintendo DS games, will allow you to take 3D photos and also play games that support its new 3D technology.

A stylish New Nintendo 3DS XL is coming on November 27 that will definitely turn retro gamers' heads. While this was certainly a step in the right direction, the question then was, well what about all the other Nintendo games? Nintendo will sell the SNES-themed 3DS XL without the AC adapter, so customers would need to buy one separately.

You can pre-order the Super Nt now for $190, with orders expected to ship in February 2018.
