It's safe to say that City fans are enjoying this moment and hoping it is more than a purple patch, but rather the birth of a true Pep Guardiola side in the Premier League. Palace are now the first club in top-flight history to have lost all five opening games and failed to score a goal.

And they made it 13 points from five games away at Watford today in a rampant 6-0 drubbing of Marco Silva's side. In the three fixtures, the Blues have scored 15 goals and conceded none.

The Manchester City striker opened the scoring at Vicarage Road and was on hand again to convert from close range against the Hornets after sterling work from Benjamin Mendy on the flank.

City cruised into the half-time interval with a three goal lead thanks to a brace from Aguero and a strike from Jesus.

Richarlison curled a shot just wide of Ederson's goal as Watford looked to re-assert themselves early in the second half but Gomes remained the busier of the two keepers and he saved Silva's powerful rising shot brilliantly on 62 minutes.

Nicolas Otamendi headed in a Silva corner to make it 4-0 in the 63rd, and Aguero got his third 10 minutes from time.

Sterling than completed the rout, slamming home an 88th-minute penalty after he was brought down in the box by Kabasele.
