Prince Harry and Meghan were met immediately by an applause from attendees of the event as they walked by hand in hand in a long anticipated moment. They also sat together in the front row, talking, laughing, and applauding the athletes, who are all injured military personnel.

The couple has been photographed together in the past but this is the first time they have appeared together at an official event.

A source explained: "Harry and Meghan are not engaged yet, reports that they are are jumping the gun slightly". Which isn't a biggie for most normal people, but is for royals.

The tennis tryst follows photos of the pair seated separately at the games' opening ceremony on the weekend, with Harry in the Royal Box and Markle some 18 seats away.

"There is no actual etiquette or royal protocol that says the couple must refrain from PDA. The couple are likely to show very little PDA, if any, to remain professional during their designated roles overseas". This isn't the first time Harry has done something out of the royal rule book.

Last November, Harry criticised the press for subjecting Markle to "a wave of abuse and harassment" after the news of their relationship sparked a stream of stories about the 36-year-old actress in British newspapers. It's hard to picture her in an pleated skirt by Alexander McQueen and Jane Taylor fascinator, like her potential sister-in-law, which is part of what makes her even more interesting.

She's also meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and delivering remarks at a reception for the almost 100 US athletes participating in the weeklong Olympic-style competition.

Prince William's brother is going to stay in Toronto until Saturday, September 30, 2017.
