Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has quietened talk of a move for Gunners star and reported target Alexis Sanchez.

City are reportedly close to signing the 26-year-old Brazilian for a fee in the region of £26.5million, having already made England global Kyle Walker the most expensive full-back in history when he joined last week for an initial £45million.

All in all, Marca seem pretty convinced Danilo will be a Manchester City player soon.

Guardiola is targeting the addition of three or four more players over the coming weeks having already splashed out on Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Kyle Walker and Douglas Luiz, with full-backs Danilo and Benjamin Mendy expected to join from Real Madrid and AS Monaco respectively.

"You know my opinion of Sergio Agüero". I said many times last season and I haven't changed any words about what I have said.

City have been linked as one of the major European powers in the hunt for Sanchez-who could leave the Emirates Stadium for free next summer-and they would possess the financial clout to push through a deal.

"He's our player, he will remain here".

The last Manchester derby was played in the Etihad back in April and ended in a goalless draw.

When asked about the future's of Bravo and Aguero, Guardiola said: "Claudio Bravo will be a City keeper next season".

Guardiola switched his sights to Danilo after the player's compatriot, Daniel Alves, snubbed City in order to join Paris St-Germain last week. "His behaviour, I've never saw a guy like him (before)".

"Maybe next week or next 10 days he is going", Pep told reporters at his press conference in the US.

Fellow striker Wilfried Bony also stayed behind, although the manager suggested that was due to an unspecified injury rather than any imminent transfer. It was a little bit of a problem. We go with Ederson, Claudio and the young players we have. He needs to play at that age and that's why him, the club and everybody, we decide what's best for him.
