Gardendale police are searching for a man suspected of killing three people at a home on Willow Bend Drive Wednesday morning. Police say that anyone who may encounter Lever should not approach him.

An order to shelter in place has been lifted, police said shortly after 10 a.m.

Law enforcement officials are still searching for Lever and have issued a bulletin urging regional individuals to be on the lookout for Lever who is considered armed and risky. Investigators believe it's a domestic-related incident.

Later Wednesday, Gardendale Police announced the suspect is believed to be in a red 2017 Nissan Sentra with a Georgia tag (RGC6858).

Gardendale police released a photo of a potential suspect in a Facebook post and told residents to stay inside while they looked for a man described as an active shooter.

Authorities are focusing their search in a wooded area near a mobile home park in Gardendale, about 15 miles north of Birmingham.

Of note, the shooting comes after Lever had been previously served an order of protection notice in December 2016 in Jefferson County.

Lever was placed in York County Prison on October 12, 2015, on the first case on $100,000 and was bailed out the next day. According to the department, a protection from abuse order was issued against Lever in Jefferson County just a year ago.

Lever has two pending charges of sexual abuse with a minor York County, Pennsylvania in separate cases of alleged assault, public records show. He was again jailed on October 15, and posted an additional $100,000 to secure his immediate release.
