The 10:50 a.m. Sunday school lesson at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2765 Malvern Ave., will be "Looking Forth for the Great Day of the Lord to Come".

Arena of Life Church, 8827 S FM 1541. The transportation will run between about 5:15-5:45 p.m.

Services and speakers will be: 7:30 tonight, Pastor Louann Moore of The Gathering Place in Critz; 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dr. Roger Hagwood of First Christian Church in Stuart; and 11 a.m. Sunday, Minister John W. Clanton of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

- Calvary Baptist Church is once again welcoming children to attend its Vacation Bible School program this July. The 7 p.m. Wednesday prayer and testimony service will be led by Lee Floyd.

Eckankar will hold its Community HU Song service from 11-11:30 a.m. Sunday at Staybridge Suites, 103 Lookout Circle, two miles south of Hot Springs Mall.

■ Agape Outreach Center will present "I'm Every Woman" at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. June 24 at West Craven High School, 2600 Streets Ferry Road, Vanceboro.

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 2727 SW 119, "Maker Fun Factory", 8:45 a.m.to noon June 26-30, geared for age 3 through fifth grade. Pastor Linster Strayhorn and United Missionary Baptist Church, New Bern, will be guests. Mondays and from 10-11 a.m.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi St., will discuss a short story by Annie Dillard for the 9:15 a.m. "Listening to God" series, will celebrate Father's Day with root beer floats after the 10:30 a.m. service and host a viewing of Safe Haven at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Numerous metro-area churches are offering vacation Bible school during the summer months.

■ Union Grove United American Free Will Baptist Church, 4182 California Road, Farmville, will celebrate deacons' and trustees' day at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Sunny Level Baptist Church will hold an installation service for pastor-elect the Rev. Ellsworth Walker at 3 p.m. June 25 with guests the Rev. Ronnie Walker and Riceville Baptist Church family of Java.

No One Fights Alone Benefit, 4 p.m., Morning Star Baptist Church, 110 Star St., for Karen Booth Jenkins, featuring Daniel Barksdale, Lance Carpenter, New Generation, and Rivermont Baptist Church Mass Choir.

Woodlawn Baptist Church, 2500 Westover Drive, will hold a community block party at Woodlawn Baptist Church to kick off VBS: "Passport to Peru" Monday-Thursday with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and VBS from 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Antonia Parker of Brown Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will be the featured speaker, and Cheryl Willoughby will be guest musician.
