The game will span all three Star Wars eras, and includes free content to keep players engaged "for years to come". A film plays with comments from some Twitch streamers of the game talking about their experiences and why they like it, set to the classic BF theme. However, EA didn't mention either game at EA Play, and it sounds like we'll have to keep waiting for more concrete information. Here's the latest on what gamers are looking forward to based on the exciting new trailer video below. It will feature a story mode wedged between the end of the second movie trilogy and the beginning of the third, and it features content from all three eras of the Star Wars universe.

Amy Hennig, senior creative director at Visceral, is heading up the studio's Star Wars title.

Expect FIFA 18, Star Wars Battlefront II, Need for Speed and more titles to make an appearance. Free expansions will keep more players playing for longer, and that in turn will mean more opportunities for EA to sell crates. Star Wars Battlefront II will allow players to experience the untold story of an Imperial elite special forces soldier in an all-new single player campaign.

EA finished off their E3 2017 event with a fifteen minute Battlefront 2 multiplayer match.

The game was first teased a year ago in a short video but it's worth noting that the publisher never confirmed we'd be seeing it.

Following EA's announcement at its EA Play conference earlier that Battlefront 2 will be getting free DLC, it has since detailed and given a launch period for the game's first free content drop.

Patrick returns to introduce a new story-driven game called "A Way Out" from the developers of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. EA said in the past that Battlefront 2 won't offer a Season Pass, but today marks the first time the publisher has detailed its post-launch plans.

In the Name of the Tsar, coming in September, brings the game to the eastern front, delivering six new maps and new playable units. Additionally, when taking the fight to space, players can upgrade to the Star Wars: The Last Jedi Millennium Falcon and a new First Order ship.

The progression system will feature new classes.
